Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2012 is healthy and happy for you and your families!

The fall got a little busy and I wasn’t able to post previews of all of the sessions, but as of yesterday, the site is updated with some of my new favorites… check out the home page, the top of this page, or the gallery pages for some new additions of my latest work! I was sooo looking forward to this newborn session for my college friends’ new little girl (see their maternity session here). She was so beautiful and sweet. And as part of the session, I got to have some delicious homemade gumbo! This Louisiana girl can’t think of many things that can top sweet babies and good gumbo! :)

I recently was invited to take pictures at a friend’s party. I had never done event photography before so I was a little nervous, but things turned out even better than I could have planned. These adorable kids made for some very fun pictures right before Halloween! Check ‘em out!

I had a great time with this family and their adorable just-turned-one little girl! Mom and Dad said she was shy around strangers, but she did an awesome job and even gave me a couple of to-die-for smiles. :) At the end of the shoot, we continued the 1st birthday celebration with a little bit of cupcake-eating. Yum, yum!

I feel like I’ve been saying for a while now that my website was almost finished, yet I kept learning new things or getting new ideas, or things would take longer to do than expected. But I really do feel like I’m getting very close to finishing now, so in honor of that I’m posting an image of the cover of my new welcome packet that I designed! If you book a session, I’ll email you this packet so that you’ll have all the info you need before your session.

Oh my goodness – I think this is finally working! Who knew that “simple technology” could be so difficult?! Trying to make friends with technology is all I’ve been doing in the past couple of weeks. Photoshop, Illustrator and WordPress sure do have lots to offer, but TONS to have to figure out! Hopefully with a little repetition, I’ll be a wiz at all these “time-saving” tricks that currently consume hours and days of my life! That said, I truly am enjoying creating this site to share my work with everyone. Here’s to this being worth all the effort! :) Cheers!
